City of Cortland Bridge Rehabilitation

The City of Cortland has scheduled a public informational meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of four bridges in the City of Cortland. The meeting will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014 in the City Court Room located in Cortland City Hall at 7:00 pm.

The City of Cortland, in cooperation with the New York State Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, is developing design studies for the rehabilitation of four bridges. Work proposed includes bridge rail, sidewalk replacement, asphalt approaches and structural concrete deck work. No road closures are anticipated at this time but an on site detours will be required to perform proposed work.

The purpose of the meeting is to obtain comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials and local agencies. The City of Cortland is specifically soliciting comments on the development of alternatives for the project and comments on the project’s social, economic and environmental effects. This public informational meeting is part of the efforts by the City of Cortland, the New York Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration to encourage public input into the development of this project.
