Rabies Clinics

The Cortland SPCA and the Cortland County Health Department unite to fight rabies. Like everyone else, the Environmental Health Division of the Health Department is experiencing the budget squeeze. The grant that we have relied on to offer free rabies clinics to the public has taken a major cut with possibly more on the way. It is, therefore, with great appreciation and anticipation that we have partnered with the Cortland Community SPCA in maintaining the
clinics in the County.

There will still be some changes in the program; the County will only be able to offer 4 clinics to outlying Towns this summer, we will not be able to continue mailing the reminder cards when your pet’s vaccination is due and the advertising of the clinics will not be as extensive. By partnering with the SPCA the clinics in the City will be continued.

The first rabies clinic this year will be held on March 27, 2013 at the Armory on Wheeler Ave. from 5:30-7PM. This clinic will be in association with the Cortland SPCA. The clinics for the remainder of 2013 are as follows:
