Sidewalk Festival’s Taste of Downtown is a Tasty Treat for Central New York

25 downtown restaurants, eateries and pubs have signed on for this year’s Taste of Downtown in historic Downtown Cortland. The Taste of Downtown on Saturday July 19 is a delectable ingredient in the three-day Sidewalk Festival held every summer in historic Downtown Cortland.

On Saturday July 19, downtown visitors who purchase a $5 souvenir Taste of Downtown glass will be eligible to vote for their favorite food and their favorite beverage sampled during the tasting tour of historic downtown Cortland’s restaurants and pubs. Souvenir Taste of Downtown glasses may be purchased from the Cortland Downtown Partnership at 9 Main Street beginning Thursday July 17.

Thursday, July 17 is the kickoff for this year’s Sidewalk Sales and Festival with a day of bargains on Main Street and a concert in Court House Park by the Lonesome Road Ramblers at 7 p.m. On Friday July 18, downtown Cortland’s retailers will continue the celebration of commerce and culture by offering discounted merchandise in front of their stores. Downtown’s Sidewalk Festival continues Friday evening with a Main Street Music Series Concert by Emmy award nominated Polka Freak Out. Saturday July 19 the sales continue and visitors with a souvenir Taste of Downtown glass can begin to taste their way around historic downtown Cortland.
