Cortland Police Department 2013 Junior Police Academy
- Download Application and Instructions
- July 29 - August 9 at the Wheeler Avenue Armory
- Monday - Friday 8 am - 3:30 pm
- Must be entering 9th through 12th grade
- ONLY 20 APPLICANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
- MUST BE ABLE TO RUN 1.5 MILES WITHOUT STOPPING
- Academy Fee: $100.00/student
- Candidates must prove a “C” or better school average and submit a letter of recommendation from a community leader.
- Cortland Junior Police Academy Graduation ceremony and picnic will be held on Friday, August 9
- Training Sessions Include basic Law Enforcement Training such as: Crime Reporting, Simulated Firearms Training, Crime Scene Investigations, Defensive Tactics, Physical Training, K-9 demonstration, De-Escalation Techniques, Police Scenarios, S.W.A.T. demonstration, and more!
