Affordable Housing Programs

Single Family Homeownership: The City has funds to assist in the purchase and subsequent rehabilitation of single family homes in the City of Cortland through the HOME Program. Eligible households can receive a minimum of $8,000 and a maximum of $13,500 based on the household's percentage of the County's median income as adjusted to family size. An additional $3,000-$13,500 per home can be provided for rehabilitation costs as identified by the City. The amount of rehabilitation assistance will be determined in accordance with the specific needs of the home identified for purchase and will be established by the City.
