Carolyn Burgess will be talking about the well-known and loved Burgess Clothing store which was in Cortland 1884-1981. Her talk will touch on family history, the famous Burgess signs, and even the counterfeiters in Cortland. Based largely on information drawn from “Burgess Remembers,” a book by Harold Powers Burgess, there will certainly be some interesting stories. You will be able to purchase your own copy of “Burgess Remembers” at our summer publications sale. Bring your own lunch and we will provide dessert and beverages. This event is free and open to the public.
