Incited is a large-scale, multimedia installation featuring digitally modified security X-rays taken by European border patrol forces of vehicles carrying hidden illegal immigrants in their cargo. This exhibition focuses on the acute problems of human trafficking, smuggling, and terrorism currently dominating the socio-political sphere. The unobstructed views of trucks, vans and cars harboring stowaways also offer insight into privacy issues and the fragility of the human body.

Seven Valleys Health Coalition (SVHC) in partnership with the Cortland City School District, the Cortland Youth Bureau, and the Area Agency on Aging’s Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has started a new Senior Walking Program at Barry School. Beginning on November 14th, Barry School will open its doors to seniors in the community who would like a safe, warm, dry location to walk the halls for exercise this winter. Program hours will take place every Tuesday evening from 4:30 – 7:00pm. The program is free and open to any seniors in the community. Those taking advantage of the program are required to sign-in with the RSVP volunteers who will be overseeing the program.

Come learn more about the plans Seven Valleys Health Coalition (SVHC) and the Cortland Food Project committee envision for a year-round, indoor farmer’s market and commercial kitchen. Collaborative project partners will also be present from the YWCA Cortland, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cortland County, the Cortland County Historical Society, and D. Yaman Properties, LLC.
