Madison St Rehabilitation Project

Beginning April 8th, 2019 the City of Cortland Water Department shall begin improvements on specific water services on Madison St.

During this time there will be disruptions in your service while water improvements are completed. Water department employees shall notify you of any expected disruptions.

Following the completion of the water services the City DPW, in conjunction with Suit-Kote Corporation, shall commence the asphalt milling beginning Monday April 29th, weather permitting.

The work to be done shall include milling out existing asphalt. Because of the nature of the work, one lane traffic shall be maintained during the milling process causing delays and limiting parking.

Once the milling process is complete, your street shall be opened utilizing all traffic lanes and parking areas, with manholes and catch basins delineated with traffic cones and barrels.

Once milled, your street shall have utility repairs done to curbing, storm sewer and gas systems prior to any asphalt being placed in May/June.

Sorry for any inconveniences in advance, please be patient and understand all effort has been to coordinate and complete work as quickly and safely as possible.
